Silk crepe georgette is a lightweight, airy, and transparent fabric with a soft touch. It boasts good crispness, resilience, and excellent drape.

The production process of crepe georgette involves using untwisted warp threads and single-direction strongly twisted weft threads, which give the fabric a unique longitudinal crinkle and texture.

How is the crinkle effect of silk crepe georgette created? Similar to regular silk georgette, the warp and weft threads are made by twisting two 20/22D mulberry silk threads in alternating left and right directions. This twisting process creates a strong crepe effect, giving the fabric a slightly rough texture. After weaving, the fabric is treated on specialized crinkle machines to achieve the final crinkle effect.
