Types of Silk Blended Fabrics
Silk blended fabrics come in two main categories: blends and interweaves.
Interweaves
Interwoven fabrics typically have a 50% silk and 50% other fibers composition.
Blends
Blended fabrics usually contain 20% to 80% silk, with the remaining 10% to 80% made up of other fibers. Custom blends can be created according to customer requirements.
Fabric Styles
Silk blended fabrics are available in various styles, including plain weave, satin weave, twill weave, and jacquard weave.
Common Silk Blends
- Silk Cotton: Combines the softness and sheen of silk with the breathability and comfort of cotton.
- Silk Linen: Offers the luxurious feel of silk with the durability and crispness of linen.
- Silk Tencel: Blends silk with Tencel for a smooth, breathable, and eco-friendly fabric.
